Introducing BIKE HOUR: It’s like Earth Hour, only more useful…

When: Tuesday, 20 March 2012
What time: 18:00 until 19:00
Where: The planet Earth over!

It’s like Earth Hour, only more useful. It’s like a critical mass ride, only effective. The world’s biggest, completely unorganised, mass cycling rally will happen wherever you are, on Tuesday March 20, between 6 and 7 pm. Why? Because you will be riding your bike.

Come on people! Let’s get together and make a revolution of an amazing nature, even if you are not a regular cyclist you can always: RIDE MORE! DRIVE LESS!

Spread the word and invite as many people as you can! 🙂

Says ‘founder’ Steven FLeming: Steven Fleming: “I should make it clear, this event has no organiser, no logo, no head office, no royalties. All we have are a few billion bikes, and people to ride them, with watches to tell them when it’s 6pm, and calendars to tell them it’s the equinox day … May Bike Hour happen with every equinox, until civic outpourings are no longer needed.”

Join the FaceBook group and, as one member puts it: “Enough of FarmVille, Mafia Wars and all that nonsensical applications on Facebook! Let’s give social networking a meaning. Join us on this one of a kind planetary movement. Spread the word and invite as many people as you can. On March 20th 2012 between 6 pm and 7 pm wherever you are on the planet get on a bike and join us for a planetary group ride. This planet of ours deserves better, we deserve better! RIDE MORE! DRIVE LESS! YES WE CAN!”
